“Traveling to Elephant Butte, New Mexico, there is a little lake, Caballo, just South of the bigger lake. These are the Caballo Mountains (horse mountains). I enjoyed trying to show just how big they are, and how very green in the summer they are. I also try to paint the air that surrounds the mountains and valley. A welcome challenge.”
