“Season’s End was painted late in the season from the Clint, Texas area East of El Paso. The cotton fields were bare with only a pinkish color to the dirt. The ditches that run along them had reeds and grasses growing that were turning rusty reds and golden yellows. The overcast skies were reflected in the water. The challenge was to capture a sense of peace to the end of the season.”
